Predator and prey. Who would of thought they would talk to each other? But they can and higher singing is how they do it. It is a language any animal can learn. Once learnt, a deer could talk to a bear. A lynx could talk to a bison, etc. It is usually taught at an animal's childhood though sometimes it is not taught at all or taught in adulthood. Usually a baby animal is taught a basic version of the language as much of it is unknown. Some though, are very fluent in it. To use higher singing, put {} around you character's speech. Here is an example of it:
Another example:
"The tatty grey loner ran onto the muddy hill looking for that gods-forsaken elk in the trees. He scanned them. There it was! {"When I find you elk, I will eat you alive!"} He was surprised that he remembered what his mother taught him all those years back."
When using higher singing, you could say that your character has not done it in years. But please, use this sparingly. 9/10 hunts will not have any conversation between the prey animal and the hunting animal. Same goes for them just passing each other.
I hope you enjoy this feature.
"Zai's wrecked body fell to the hard ground with a flat thud. The deer was covered in blood, his breath racing almost like a panting dog. He looked at the drooling wolves that were going to bring him death. They softly approached him. There was no hope now. {"Please, make this quick"} That was the only comfort he could have in this world now. A swift demise."
