Scotland? That's awesome! I'm in the US, so our clocks are going to be pretty different, huh? I'm GMT -5 hours I think...I hope you have a great time on this site. First RPs are great, you get to watch yourself grow.
So why a lynx for a first character? Most people go with wolves.

I'm not exactly sure myself, i just like them but i'm not uberly obsessed with them if you know what i mean. They always remind me as spirits of the tundra (well canadian anyways). I also remember seeing a captive Lynx when i was nine and i remember our eyes sort of locked and i was intranced for what seemed like forever. You hear about wolves near enough all the time really but i rarely see or hear anything about the lynx so i thought that would be an interesting animal to play as, an animal that few ever see. Kind of a long explaination that doesn't really make any sense there but there you go ^^; i tend to do this a lot lol sorry

No problem, I like that and do it myself. I first saw an Eurasian Lynx in Europe's Mammals a beautifully illustrated book on the behavoir of mammals. I fell in love with one picture and then I created Yoki! I can't remember any one event that sparked my intrest in wolves. I have always loved canines, so I guess it came naturally. Dog breed come and go (expect for the Doberman they are tough enough to survive), but wolves are forever!
I've been asked why play a lynx when I could play another wolf? For one, it's different. Yoki is so fun, and loveable in a twisted way. She's a full cat ready to bat you around with her paws. I'm glad that someone else will play a lynx this time! Yoki is no longer alone. ^^

Lol Yoki is lucky she isn't a bobcat or there could of been trouble lol I like the typical cat attitude myself it's quite entertaining, i have 2 cats myself, a tortoise shell called Hailey and her kitten cuddles (not sure what to call him really he's mainly white with the odd ginger spot ) he's very skittish and shy though. Hailey on the other hand is quite the madam (i frequently call her madam instead of hailey and she knows i'm talking about her too ) she can be quite spiteful and cruel though if i've left her for a day (when i was at school or out shopping with freinds) she'd ignore me lol my other cat Phoebe was like that. Yoki sounds like a social kind of cat, in regards to how she was with her family ^^

Yes, she is also the perfect lady. ^^ But that is the main difference from wolves. Lynxes live on there own for most of there lives. I mean pairs mate, and then the father goes away. So I assumed the word loyalty, means little to them.
My mother is allergic to cats so I won't have any until I move out.

Sounds like an ideal life, no relationship complications and all the personal time you could want ^^ Thats a shame that your mother's allergic, cats can be very loving friends ^^ not to sure about dogs myself since i've never had one, always been cautious about them. I remember when i was younger i was scared of my mum's friends' german shepard, he used to bark at me all the time and chase me. My mum says he'd sometimes corner me and i'd hiss and spit at him lol

I wouldn't be suprised. I didn't get a pet until I was in the SEVENTH grade because of my father. I got a Rat Terrier pup who I love to death. Then I picked up on reptiles, and my second dog a small black poodle found us. He had dredlocks from his year on the street. Some dogs are mean, but most aren't. The German Sheperd was the expection to the rule, and most dogs are really sweet. Even if they do bark a lot.

I would of only of been 3 so huge barking dog coming towards you is kind of scary a few of my friends have dogs and i've met them, they're ok i suppose but i guess i'll always be a cat person, i've had cats since i was little so i know all 'the rules' so i fit in quite well with them. Reptiles you say? So what are they like? I've held a snake once before when i was 5 and i've had a respect for them for most of my life, people go on about how snakes are evil this that and the next thing but as far as i can see the snakes couldn't care less about you unless you're scaring them by making lots of noise and jumping around

I think snakes and all reptiles are really kinda like cats. They don't have to give you respect just because you own them. Mine prefer me to everyone else and then have favorites. Only one person I know is like by all three so she is their 'Auntie'. I hand feed all of my reptiles, and suprisingly enough I have only been nipped once by each. They let go quickly after realising I wasn't there meal too.
My mom tried to feed the dragon and gotten bitten while I was standing next to her. She turned around wanting to know what I was going to do. I just shrugged and as said it was your fault for being too slow. Animals do things, and when we can't understand them we say they are stupid or violent. Mom and I laugh about her bite.
Ow and snakes love to cuddle. All of mine do. Finch, the dragon sits on my shoulder like a broach. Link, the tegu likes to cuddle in a pillow while being stroked (he arches up against you when he wants something too). And Boo just wants to be held and talked to.

Aww ^^ thats so adorable (now theres a word i've never heard next to reptiles but i'll stay with it) so reptiles can be affectionate too? Most people just seem to describe them as cold. You think pets tend to respect the person that's feeding them? Mine seem to and hailey likes to bring home prey too, i think she's trying to teach me how to hunt ^^ sort of a 'you feed me and i'll feed you' kind of thing going on lol

I have one reptile--a little Leopard Gecko named Jimbob. Stupid name aside, he's a cute little guy. If you put your fingers close to his mouth, he'll lick at them I don't understand why some people are afraid of reptiles. Maybe its their scaly skin, but if you ask me that's a bit of a dumb reason. I love the feel of their skin, and best of all they don't shed like your average housepet.

Ya Atticus hunts too, and I swear he thinks I'm going to grow a tail and join him. Of course, that wouldn't be the worst fate. ^^ Ya reptiles can be loving, but they don't give it out easily. You have to win their trust and then they are the best of pets! (I'll never get another hamster or rat unless it's to feed my snake.) Easy to clean, and feed plus shed snake skins look super cool.

I'm not exactly sure either why people fear reptiles o.O they're cool and should be repected like any other animal. I'd prefer it that way myself, having to earn their trust because when you have it you know you'll have it for a long time ^^ me and my cats play 'stalking' in the back garden on sunny days, although i'm not as good as they are but i'm improvving lol that or they're letting me get closer ¬.¬ sly moggies but they love it ^^ eventually though we tend to get tired and just lie in the sun which is equally fun lol
