Being the nerds that Kai and I are, we were at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows party at Barnes and Noble last night. We stayed up literally all night with both of us reading from the same book (Right now, I'm running on about 30 minutes of sleep in the last 40 hours). So I want to know, have you read it? What did you think of it? Were the predictions you made about the last book correct? Who is your favorite character? What was your favorite scene? How did this book stack up against the others? Please put a warning if you are giving spoilers.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Why did Severus have to die!!! I read the whole book in one sitting, and the chapter with his memories was the only part that made me cry! Even Lupin's death didn't effect me that much. I also feel sorry for Nagini. Poor little snake...
I really like how Dumbledore turns out to have a darker side. It really adds layers to his character.
I'm kinda disappointed that Sirius didn't come back. I thought I found several hints, establishing that he would. But he didn't...
All of my predictions were horribly wrong. I thought the sword was going to be a Horcrux. I, like a lot of the people who read the series, thought Harry was a goner. I also thought Severus Snape was going to be evil. *shrugs*
Personally, I thought this was by far the most insightful and meaningful of the series. Everything comes together and all the loose ends are tied up.
*End Spoilers*

I can't read the Harry Potter books, as you know. I feel odd, not being able to read them when everyone else says such amazing things about them. Oh well... TheAlmightyQ
