Bluewolf and I recently had a discussion about prey animals, and we were wondering: do you feel sorry for prey, both in real life and in fiction? Why? What do you think about this?
Any thoughts and comments are welcome!

I'm not a very sympathicque person, but on this subject I am a bit. In fan fiction, most of the time the author prevents you from getting attached to them for a good reason. It would distract the reader. Unless of course, the main character is a deer or something. So there you have little pity for them. I'm rather fond of stags how the stand up fight back.
In real life I have less pity for them for some odd reason. Hunters risk there lives fighting against something much larger them (I'm talking about wolves). Also hunters don't make them suffer for pleasure. They just want to eat.

Really? I feel so special now. ^^ I have been listening to your Cats CD for an hour now. It's rather nice to hear the orignal cast.
