The smaller of the two mountains, Twilight Ridge stands almost side-by-side next to Moonlight Peak. Though Moonlight Peak towers over it, the ridge is one of the few higher points in the land, and its appearance is often compared to the look of a giant tooth rising into the sky. Prey is hard to come by here. The ridge itself is looked down upon because of its rocky terrain, steep cliffs, and lack of trees and shelter. The bones and skeletons of prey, wolves, and the occasional human are often found laying beneath the rocks. The trees that do rest upon the ridge are tall evergreens, providing a good home for squirrels and smaller wildlife. The tip of the ridge is a sharp piece of stone, surrounded by steep cliffs in every direction. Despite its dangerous nature, the peak gives an excellent view of the nearby valley and forest. In the spring, many wild flowers and plants grow on the grassier sections of the ridge, making it seem almost a little less deadly. However, the winter makes it near-impossible to climb, and an animal could easily break its leg just by attempting to scale a few feet. Native hawks and other birds often nest atop the peak, free from the dangers of predators.
Smaller mountains also surround the Ridge and the eastern side of Moonlight Peak. These mountains, while not large enough to hold a pack, are home to many wildlife including mountain goats, Dall sheep, foxes, lynx, and the occasional black bear. The terrain here is less steep and in some ways the minor mountains are safer than the Ridge and its neighbor, Moonlight Peak.
Though Twilight Ridge is small, it could maintain a wolf pack. The forest surrounding the ridge is home to a number of prey species, easily accessible from the cliff itself. Though dangerous, the cliff has a few lower, smoother points. However, danger still seems to lurk around every bend. Only the strong survive in this hazardous territory.
Most of the myths and legends that surround Twilight Ridge are based on the death god, Dis. Some legends say Dis created it as place for him to keep watch over the land, while others say he created it as a territory for predators. Another suggests that Dis and Luna had an argument over who was the real owner of Moonlight Peak and that Dis created the Twilight Ridge as his own dominion. Some believe so strongly in these legends that rituals are still held annually at the Ridge's peak.
